# Opening a Position

Tulip Protocol currently supports the following parameters for new positions:

| Notional Size | Leverage |
| ------------- | -------- |
| No limit      | 3x       |

Minimum deposit would be $50  ~~and maximum collateral would be $50,000 deposit. We will look to adjust/increase these parameters once any potential risks have been mitigated and an orderly market is ensured.~~

~~To continue to maintain an orderly market, we have reduced maximum notional size based on the following limits:~~

~~$300k position size for RAY-X pairs~~ 

~~$100k position size for ALT-Stable pairs except MEDIA~~

Minimum deposit still applies.

Note, the program will automatically switch to the borrowing asset that has lower APY. You can toggle this with the dropdown.
